🏃 Running Coach — Health & Safety Disclaimer

Please read this before you use Running Coach. It explains the limits of what the app provides and the risks of physical activity.

Last updated: 28 June 2026

Running Coach is not a medical device or a medical service. The training plans, paces, heart-rate targets and other guidance it produces are general information only — they are not medical advice and are no substitute for the judgement of a qualified health professional who knows your personal circumstances.

Consult a physician before you start

Talk to your doctor before beginning this or any exercise programme, especially if you have a heart condition, chest pain, dizziness, a chronic illness, an injury, or any other reason exercise might be unsafe for you. If you are unsure whether you are healthy enough to exercise, do not rely on this app — get professional advice first.

Assumption of risk

Physical activity carries inherent risks, including injury and, in rare cases, serious cardiac events. By using the app and following its plans you acknowledge and accept those risks and take part at your own risk. You are responsible for training within your own limits.

Not for emergencies

Running Coach cannot detect or respond to a medical emergency. If you think you are having one, stop immediately and contact your local emergency services (in the EU, call 112).

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we accept no liability for any injury, loss or damage arising from your use of the app or reliance on its guidance. Nothing in this notice excludes or limits any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law — including, for consumers in the EU and elsewhere, liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

Changes

If this disclaimer changes, the "last updated" date above will change, and you may be asked to acknowledge the new version in the app.
